Jan Driessen started in 1993 with three employees and one office in a building in Helmond. Since then that has grown into a family of companies and social initiatives and more than 750 colleagues, working from the beautiful Brainport Human Campus in Helmond and various locations in the Netherlands. The retirement of Jan Driessen

In December 2024, Jan Driessen, our founder and inspiration, retired to enjoy his well-deserved retirement. What started over 31 years ago as a small one-man company has grown, thanks to his passion, dedication and entrepreneurship, into an organization with nearly 800 colleagues. During our annual Christmas party we celebrated his retirement in a beautiful and festive way. Together we reminisced and toasted everything Jan has meant to Driessen Groep. We are extremely grateful to Jan for his years of dedication and the solid foundation he has laid for the future of Driessen Groep.

Learning Lab Foundation is there

Growing the learning happiness of students and accelerating innovations in the field of people and work in the region: with that ambition in mind, Driessen Groep, Fontys Hogescholen Eindhoven, ROC ter AA, OMO Scholengroep Helmond and the Municipality of Helmond joined forces in 2023 and the Learning Lab came into being. As of October 16, 2024, the Learning Lab is officially a Foundation. And thus a new social initiative of Driessen Groep from which enthusiastic teachers, experts, pupils, students and the regional business community work together on innovative solutions to social issues.

Hooray! We are 30 years old

15 companies and 30 years on! Of course we are not going to let this milestone go by unnoticed. We will celebrate it grandly during Cirque Futurique with a party for our own colleagues, an inspiring annual conference for business relations and a fantastic family day. Driessen Groep starts event company Sprank

At Driessen Groep, we look at the world around us with different eyes. And therefore also at possible means to achieve HR goals. For example, we see an event as a powerful HR tool. Curious as to how that works? Then meet Sprank. Sprank organizes and devises customized employee events, business events and incentives. In own production, commissioned or in collaboration. And arranges them down to the last detail. With a dash of magic added, they provide events that work and that you will not soon forget.

Meet Haert

For years, Reijn was known as a hiring and consulting services provider. From now on, Reijn will split into two independent companies. This creates focus to support organizations even better. Reijn will continue as a consultancy partner and connect (independent) HRM professionals to HRM challenges at public organizations. The hiring and broking services and contract management will continue under the name Haert. Haert stands for (un)ordinary well-regulated contracting. Warm, personal and understandable.

Driessen Groep starts innovation agency Lüün

To stay relevant as an organization to your customers and employees, you cannot escape innovation. Unfortunately, many people experience the process of achieving innovation as messy, inefficient or even frustrating. This can be done differently, we believe. That's why we are introducing Lüün. Lüün guides organizations in starting, accelerating and securing human-centered innovation. By providing structure in creativity, innovation becomes fun (again)!

Opening Brainport Human Campus in Helmond

For the past 1.5 years, Driessen Groep has worked hard to develop Brainport Human Campus. In addition to Driessen Groep and its companies, some 30 other organizations are located there. A mix of organizations from education, government and business where the topics of people and work are central. Brainport Human Campus is a hospitable place that brings professionals and organizations together, connects and inspires.

Driessen Groep starts health and safety service Bloeij

Work makes people better. But it doesn't come naturally. It requires constant attention to employees. When it comes to the growth and flourishing of your employees, you want to work with a health and safety service that is close by. That's why, in the midst of the biggest health crisis in decades, Driessen Groep is starting a health and safety service: Blossom.

Recruitment part of the portfolio

As a result of labor market shortages, organizations are increasingly struggling to find the right people for specialized positions. That is why we are launching Jeij, our recruitment agency for socially driven organizations.

New location in Bussum

The Amsterdam and Utrecht locations are moving to a spacious office building in Bussum. Joining forces creates space in Bussum for further growth, in-house events and even more cooperation.

The Atelier opens its doors

We are opening a new building on Vlamovenweg. This unique building houses both Driesen Groep companies and external companies. The Atelier has a connecting function and is a breeding ground for professionals who operate in the domain of people & work.

Driessen Professionals has grown into a full-fledged company. We proudly present Reijn. Through Reijn, the public sector gains access to scarce professionals through a network of specialized partners, freelancers and in-house consultants.

We are 25 years old

In addition to the transition from family business to family of businesses, there is something else to celebrate: we exist 25 years! We will celebrate this milestone in a big way during Festival Growth with a family day, an annual conference for relations, an inspiration festival for professionals and, last but not least, a fantastic party for our own colleagues. From family business to family of businesses

On April 1, Driessen HRM will continue as Driessen Groep: a family of companies in the field of people and work, specializing in the public sector. Under the wings of Driessen Groep at that time are: Driessen, IJK, Driessen Professionals, Mensium and The Solutions Factory. Companies with their own services and their own story, but with enabling work happiness for as many people as possible as a common goal.

Opening new premises on Vlamovenweg

At a stone's throw from the familiar premises on Schootense Dreef, we are opening a new office on Vlamovenweg. Due to growth, the go-ahead was given in July 2016 for the construction of new premises, where the components 'human' and 'digital' are central.

Establishment of Driessen Foundation

For years, we have been doing our part by supporting various initiatives and charities. The growth of our organization makes it possible to do even more for the world around us. From this thought and our passion for 'people and work', we started the Driessen Foundation. Our goal is to make work happiness possible, also for people for whom this is not self-evident.

Six new locations opened

Because of rapid growth, we are adding as many as six locations in one year. As of now, we can also be found in Amsterdam, Groningen, Venlo, Zwolle, Breda and Arnhem.

Driessen HRM welcomes subsidiary Mensium

We welcome Mensium as a new family member. With its own team of experienced consultants, Mensium supports organizations in the field of personnel development and mobility. They help employees discover talents and develop competencies.

Locations opened in Utrecht, The Hague and Leeuwarden

Where at first we only served clients and flexible employees throughout the Netherlands from Helmond, in 2013 we will add three locations across the country. Our names in Utrecht, The Hague and Leeuwarden will now also appear on the facades.

We welcome subsidiary The Solutions Factory

The world of e-HRM is getting closer and closer. We are gaining a subsidiary with Solutions Factory. Solutions Factory offers online solutions to support the entire HRM process, such as a work-at-home site, mobility center or hiring desk.

Driessen HRM_Payroll becomes Driessen HRM

During our 20th anniversary on April 1, 2013, the name Driessen HRM_Payroll will change to Driessen HRM. This name adds to the path we are taking as a broad HRM service provider for the public sector.

Expanding office in Helmond

The office building on Schootense Dreef in Helmond is being "doubled. The office will literally be mirrored with a connection in the middle by means of a multifunctional Atrium. This expansion will make us future-proof again.

DA&A Driessen changes name to Driessen HRM_Payroll

After 15 years, the time has come for DA&A Driessen to go on living as Driessen HRM_Payroll. A name change that suits Driessen as a broad HRM knowledge partner and payroll service provider.

Moving to new office

With an eye to the future, DA&A Driessen is moving from a floor in a building on Panovenweg to a much larger office building at Schootense Dreef 15 in Helmond.

Jan Driessen starts for himself on April 1, 1993. DA&A was born. From the office, located at the Panovenweg in Helmond, Jan and a few employees work primarily for various municipalities.
