Driessen Groep certified on step 4 of CSR performance ladder

At Driessen Groep, we believe it is important to work together with our employees, customers and suppliers towards a sustainable future. As a people-oriented organization, we are aware of the impact we have on our environment and pay structural attention to sustainability. We recently reached an important milestone: certification on step 4 of the CSR performance ladder. And we are proud of that!

The Sustainable Development Ladder is based on the international ISO-26000 standard. This standard helps organizations get started with corporate social responsibility in a practical way. It focuses on the three pillars of corporate social responsibility - people, profit and planet. As a family of companies in the field of people and work, we want to excel in the people pillar, but we also want to make a visible sustainable impact on profit and planet.

Additional value step 4

Acquiring step 4 on the CSR performance ladder shows that we have gone further than the basic requirements of step 3, which we achieved in 2022. Whereas we demonstrated with step 3 that we score above average on our CSR themes within our industry, step 4 shows that in the CSR themes relevant to us, such as Good Employment Practices, Diversity & Inclusion and Training & Development, we truly belong to the top 25% of the market and that, with our family of companies, we develop services that contribute to solving social challenges. We have also developed sustainable and socially responsible initiatives in the supply chain in collaboration with suppliers and public partners. A great example of this is the Learning Lab. The Learning Lab is a vibrant incubator at our Brainport Human Campus. Here students, educational and governmental institutions and (social) organizations come together to learn and develop talents. In this way, students are given the opportunity to increase their learning happiness and we accelerate social innovation in the region.

Recognition of our efforts

Our certification at level 4 is the crowning glory of our work and a recognition of our many years of commitment to CSR with our family of companies. A few examples of our initiatives include our social coffee bar Jan&Koek, the learning and working project Strong to Work in cooperation with the Driessen Foundation and our renewed mobility policy and sustainable procurement policy. These initiatives illustrate our commitment to both society and the environment. We are proud that we have now also been able to demonstrate our impact throughout the chain. This underlines our commitment to sustainable business practices.

Sustainable work happiness

Driessen Groep makes sustainable work happiness possible for as many people and organizations as possible. This mission is in our DNA and we are committed to it now and in the future, so that we meet the needs of our customers and (future) employees. By finding the right balance between the three CSR pillars, we ensure that the current and future living and working environment remains optimal for as many people as possible.
